35 Weeks. YAY!!!!!

I've been feeling really good recently!

After 35 weeks, babies don't automatically go to the NICU!  Wooohoooo!  Just two more weeks!  The babies should be over 5 pounds each if they are still growing like an average baby.  On Friday, we went to the doctor again for an ultrasound.  Everything looked good execpt one thing.  Baby B has one kidney which is about 50% bigger than it should be.  The doctor said he sees it all the time and it works itself out by birth, but wanted us to know so we could make sure the peditrician follows through with it.  The good news is that her amniotic fluid level is normal which is an indication of properly functioning kidneys.  They will likely do an ultrasound of her kidneys when she's born to make sure there is no blockage, but he's never seen it result in a problem so we are under strict orders not to worry!  Howevery, telling a pregnant lady (or any mom for that matter) not to worry is like telling Iowa not to be hot in July!  FYI - It's 92 right now with a "feels like" temp of 102.  You will find us at the pool this afternoon, that's for sure!

This week, we had a visit from Kate & Heather, my friends from UND!  We had some low key fun playing Phase 10, watching movies, and just gabbing.  Heather was laying in the street, the grass, and the neighbors driveway to get some good belly shots of Barry and I so it will be fun to see what photos look like!  Kate and Heather really helped the week go by faster because the weeks are starting to get very long!

I also got to go out to lunch with two girls from the multiples class yesterday.  Twins are the first children for all three of us, so it was nice to visit with others in the exact same position.  It was funny to hear someone else say they just want them both to come out the same way!  A person can recover from either type of birth, but we'd really rather not find out what it's like to recover from both!  I know that in the end, if we can have two healthy babies, we would all do whatever it takes.

I hope to be posting next week, but the doc said it's any day now.  As always, Barry and I appreciate your prayers for healthy babies and a birth free of complications.
